A report from Columbia University’s Justice Lab finds that New York state’s parole system disproportionately supervises and incarcerates black and Latinx people.

To learn more about the findings, WAMC's Jim Levulis spoke with Vincent Schiraldi, the study’s co-author. Schiraldi is co-director of the Justice Lab and a former New York City Probation Commissioner.

Jim was WAMC’s Assistant News Director and hosted WAMC's flagship news programs: Midday Magazine, Northeast Report and Northeast Report Late Edition.
