A Warren County supervisor will launch her campaign for the New York State Assembly this week.

Attorney Claudia Braymer, a Democrat who represents Glens Falls on the Warren County Board of Supervisors, is scheduled to launch her campaign for New York’s 114th Assembly District on Tuesday.

Braymer’s entry sets up a contest with fellow county supervisor Matt Simpson, a Republican from the Town of Horicon. Simpson announced in December he would seek the seat currently held by Republican Dan Stec.

Stec announced last month that he would run for State Senate. He is seeking to represent the 45th Senate District following the retirement of incumbent Republican Betty Little.
