Police in the Westchester County Village of Pleasantville are providing more information on the incident that led to the deaths of four individuals.
The bodies of 46-year-old Chaun-Kai Liu, his wife, 42-year-old Dorothy, and two children, 7-year-old Tennyson and 4-year-old Adeline were discovered at their home on Romer Avenue Thursday.
Police say Mr. Liu, who was known in the community as Tom, used a knife to kill his wife and children before taking his own life. Authorities have not determined a motive and a final report from the medical examiner has not yet been released.
Police say there were no reports of domestic violence at the family home but added Mr. Liu was “under a considerable amount of stress.” An investigation is ongoing.
