DOH To Present Warren County Cancer Report Thursday

The New York State Department of Health will continue a discussion of regional cancer screenings tonight in Queensbury.

Staff from the Department of Health will be on hand tonight at SUNY Adirondack to discuss a report that examines cancer patterns and trends for Warren County.

The county has one of the highest rate of all cancers combined in New York, according to data from 2011 to 2015.

The Department says current and former tobacco use, obesity, alcohol consumption and HPV infection are likely contributing factors to the higher rate.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m.
