Morning Headlines With Miles Reed Of The Daily Gazette

WAMC's David Guistina speaks with Miles Reed of The Daily Gazette about reports that the Greater Johnstown School District has approved its $37.87 million budget in a revote.

They also discuss the Schoharie limo crash case, where a judge has ordered defendant Nauman Hussain to provide a DNA sample

Elsewhere in our region, the Lansingburgh Central School District’s roughly $50 million budget passed 551 to 227 Tuesday. That’s a spending decrease of about 1 percent compared to the 2018-19 spending plan.

In the Hudson Valley, Minisink Valley Central School District residents approved the 2019-20 school budget by a 2,449 to 1,085 revote. The $95 million plan is a roughly $4.7 million reduction from the current budget, according to the district.

David Guistina is the host of Capital Connection, Legislative Gazette, and Morning Edition and the producer of the Media Project on WAMC.
