Facebook: New York State Police

The supervisor of the Saratoga County Town of Galway has died.

According to New York State Police, Paul Lent died after a tractor accident on his property Friday. Police say Lent was performing agricultural work when his tractor overturned and pinned him, causing his death.

Lent, with his wife, Sue, operated a farm.

Prior to being elected in 2013, Lent was a longtime director of the Saratoga County Office of Emergency Services.

Current OES Director Carl Zeilman Tweeted Friday night that he was “saddened” to hear the news of Lent’s death. Zeilman, who serves as Saratoga County Republican Chairman, said Lent “will be missed by all that knew him.”

Lent was 65.
