Four members of the Galway, New York police force including Chief Leslie Klein have been arrested and charged with falsifying documents with the state Division of Criminal Justice Services. State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced the arrests of Sergeant Mark LaViolette, Sergeant David Goodwin, and Schenectady County Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Kirker. Schneiderman’s office says the felony charges come after a year-and-a-half investigation into the Saratoga County town’s police department, dubbed “Operation Training Day.” The officers are accused of falsely claiming that officers completed required trainings.
