The Times Union Center announced Sunday that Friday’s Gala Celebration with singer-songwriters James Taylor and John Legend has been canceled.
The venue’s website says refunds will be offered at point of purchase only. Internet and phone orders will be automatically canceled and refunded.
Organizers apologized for any inconvenience and attributed the cancellation to unforeseen circumstances involving the show’s promoter.
In addition to Taylor and Legend, the event was to also feature comedian Jim Belushi and Capital Region native and contestant on NBC’s The Voice, Moriah Formica.
A portion of the proceeds were to be donated to the Pediatric Emergency Center Department at Albany Medical Center.
