The Rivers Casino in Schenectady opened February 8th to long lines and crowds of bettors. Despite some snowy weather during the opening week, bettors played more than $23 million at electronic slot machines and more than $4.2 million at table games.

The data was released in a report from the New York State Gaming Commission.

Total Gross Gaming Revenue for the casino’s first week tallied up to $3,038,751.

In an emailed statement, officials said they were pleased with the casino’s performance and enthusiasm from the community.

Total credits played during the same week at Saratoga Casino Hotel, about 20 miles away, totaled about $37.8 million, down about $8.1 million from the week before.
