Developers of the del Lago Resort and Casino in the Finger Lakes say they are making progress on its construction.

A ceremony was held Friday to mark the casino's final beam being set in place. The gaming hall just off the Thruway between Rochester and Syracuse is scheduled to open in February 2017.

Lago is one of the three upstate casinos approved for state licenses. The other two casinos are in the Catskills and Schenectady. Another casino license is being considered for the Southern Tier.
