Skidmore's Tang Teaching Museum Receives $1 Million Grant

The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College received the $1 million in funding through a challenge grant from the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund.

According to the college, the matching grant will build the institution’s endowment and expand programming for students, faculty, and visitors.

The museum’s director, Ian Berry, said the grant will support “new ways of learning for our audiences here in Saratoga and beyond.”

The college says the money will help endow the Assistant Director for Engagement position and fund efforts to reach out to new audiences including school-age children and adults in underserved areas.
