New York's senior U.S. Senator says he is backing Governor Andrew Cuomo for reelection.
Speaking Friday morning in Saranac Lake, Democrat Charles Schumer says he supports Cuomo's bid for a second four-year term.
Cuomo is facing a primary challenge from long shot Zephyr Teachout, who narrowly lost a nomination bid against the governor at the Working Families Party convention but picked up the support of the powerful Public Employees Federation union this week.
"I'm supporting Governor Cuomo all the way," Schumer said.
