Deputy Secretary For Civil Rights On New Wage Board

The people who depend on the generosity of others for something extra in their paycheck may be getting a raise.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has ordered state labor department officials to convene a wage board that will consider changes and make recommendations to the laws that cover food service and other workers who depend on tips.

WAMC's Brian Shields spoke with Alphonso David, the Deputy Secretary for Civil Rights for Governor Cuomo.
