Albany, NY – Well one of boxing's all-time great trainers has died...

Angelo Dundee, who helped groom Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard into world champions and became one of boxing's most recognizable figures, died yesterday at age 90.

Dundee was best known for being in Ali's corner for almost his entire career. But those in boxing also knew him as an ambassador for boxing and a figure of integrity in a sport that often lacked it.

Dundee was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1994 after a career that spanned six decades, including training 15 world champions.

To the NBA, last night in Boston, Paul Pierce netted 17, dished out eight assists, as the Celtics blew out Toronto 100-64.

In New Jersey, Deron Williams poured in 26 to lead the Nets over Detroit 99-96.

Elsewhere, Philadelphia routed Chicago 98-82, the Clippers edged Utah 107-105, Milwaukee rallied to beat Miami 105-97, Oklahoma City downed Dallas 95-86, Indiana dumped Minnesota 109-99, Phoenix blew out New Orleans 120-103, San Antonio held off Houston 99-91, Portland absolutely destroyed Charlotte 112-68, and Orlando dropped Washington 109-103.

Among Top 25 college hoops, Baylor bounced Texas A&M 63-60, Kansas hammered Oklahoma 84-62, Georgetown downed U-Conn 58-44, Florida State trumped Georgia Tech 68-54, and Michigan upset Indiana 68-56.

On the Women's side, Baylor blitzed Missouri 71-41, and Texas A&M dropped Texas Tech 67-55.

To the ice, last night in Buffalo, Henrik Lundqvist stopped all 34 shots he faced, pitching a shutout in the Rangers 1-0 shootout win over the Sabres. Ryan Callahan notched the game-winning tally in the fifth round of the shootout.

Elsewhere, Toronto blanked Pittsburgh 1-0, Florida doubled up Washington 4-2, Dallas routed Anaheim 6-2, and Los Angeles skated past Columbus 3-2.

And officials in Egypt say at least 74 died in a stampede following a soccer game, and a thousand more people were injured during the stick and stone-throwing melee. One player said it was "like a war."

It happened when fans rushed the field after the home team won an unexpected victory over Egypt's top squad.

It was the worst incident of soccer violence in Egypt and the deadliest worldwide since 1996.
