Plattsburgh, NY – SUNY officials framed a strategic plan about two years ago called "The Power of SUNY" to help revitalize NY's economy. This year showcases are being held in each of the 10 economic regions designated by Governor Cuomo to show how the colleges serve the ideas in the strategic plan, including alternative energy, health care, education, and community and global interaction. SUNY Chancellor Nancy Zimpher says the showcases literally show what the college system is doing to advance the state's economy. SUNY Plattsburgh President John Ettling. Clinton Community College President John Jablonski says the 5 year strategic plan has set a coordinated course for the future that maximizes resources to allow for Plattsburgh North Country Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Gary Douglas is Co-Chair of the North Country Regional Economic Development Council.
