Albany, NY – Well the Thunder have evened the Western Conference Final...

In Dallas, Kevin Durant's 24 points led Oklahoma City over the Mavericks 106-100 in Game 2. James Harden was also huge off the bench, pouring in 23 of the bench's 50 points. The series, even at one, shifts to Oklahoma City for Game 3 tomorrow.

To the ice... In Tampa, Tim Thomas turned aside all 31 shots for his second career playoff shutout, leading Boston over Tampa Bay 2-0. The Bruins now lead the Eastern Conference final 2-1. Game 4 is tomorrow.

NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman is denying reports that a deal has been reached to relocate the Atlanta Thrashers to Winnipeg, Manitoba.

To baseball... In Baltimore, Nick Swisher went 2 for 4 and drove in 4, as the Yankees pounded the Orioles 13-2. New York's won three straight.

In Boston, Carl Crawford's bases-loaded single in the ninth, lifted the Red Sox over Detroit 4-3. Boston's won six straight.

In other AL action - Minnesota bombed Oakland 11-1, Seattle got by the Angels 2-1, Toronto topped Tampa Bay 3-2, the White Sox crushed Cleveland 8-2, and Kansas City held off Texas 2-1 in 10.

Over to the NL... In Philadelphia, forty-year-old Jason Giambi homered three times and knocked in seven, as Colorado crushed the Phillies 7-1. Giambi becomes the second-oldest ever to hit three in a game, trailing the Cardinals great Stan Musial, who did it in 1962 at the age of 41.

In New York, Dillon Gee and two relievers combined on a three-hit shutout, as the Mets blanked Washington 1-0.

Elsewhere, San Francisco beat the Dodgers 3-1, Pittsburgh topped Cincinnati 5-3, St. Louis doubled up Houston 4-2, the Cubs downed Florida 5-1, Arizona edged Atlanta 2-1, and San Diego nipped Milwaukee 1-0.

And in cycling, Tyler Hamilton, a former teammate of Lance Armstrong, says the two used the performance-enhancing drug EPO together between 1999 and 2001. The blood booster increases endurance by elevating the red blood cell count in the body.
