Hudson Valley, NY – According to an article in Business Week, insurance companies have won the health care reform debate.
There is video online of Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri telling her constituents that part of health care reform is dead - that it's "not even being discussed" at the Capitol. Hudson Valley bureau chief Susan Barnett spoke with Democratic Congressman Maurice Hinchey, who says reform isn't dead yet, but one part of it is.
He is in the district, announcing the latest federal funding for a solar company that settled in the Hudson Valley through the efforts of The Solar Energy Consortium - a new project that will not only create jobs, but will create solar ribbons that can be put on the exterior of buildings. And that has direct application to TSEC's most coveted market - those New York City skyscrapers.
