Upper Jay, NY – For a quarter of a century, there was a small theme park in the Adirondacks where children could play inside a magic castle, or ride a stagecoach in the old west. The man whose imagination created the Land of Make-Believe and other theme parks across the region was recently recognized posthumously for his work. Arto Monaco was inducted into the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Hall of Fame earlier this month. WAMC's North Country Bureau Chief Pat Bradley has more.
