Plattsburgh, NY – Wind energy developers have found that the area of New York State north of the Adirondacks is a prime site for wind development. But many communities in the region have no laws specifically pertaining to wind turbine siting. Councilors in the Town of Plattsburgh, where no projects are currently planned, are considering a moratorium on any wind projects so they can assess, and possibly impose, wind siting regulations.
