Albany, NY – The New York State Museum in Albany is looking to enhance the story it tells about the state's role in American history, unearthing relics long buried in storage. Governor George Pataki's $40 million budget proposal to renovate the museum and build a new facility to house collections will help that effort. But many lawmakers, trying to make history of their own in putting out an on-time budget, are only willing to meet Pataki half-way.
