Hampden District Attorney's Office

There is an opportunity this weekend for people in western Massachusetts to get an unwanted firearm out of the house.

The Hampden District Attorney’s Office and Baystate Medical Center are conducting a gun buyback.

It takes place in Springfield at the Raymond Sullivan Public Safety Complex  at 1212  Carew Street on Saturday December 14th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill spoke with Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni.

The record-setting tenure of Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno. The 2011 tornado and its recovery that remade the largest city in Western Massachusetts. The fallout from the deadly COVID outbreak at the Holyoke Soldiers Home. Those are just a few of the thousands and thousands of stories WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill has covered for WAMC in his nearly 17 years with the station.
