Simonelli Won’t Seek Fifth Term On Pittsfield City Council

Since 2011, Anthony Simonelli has represented Ward 7 on the Pittsfield, Massachusetts city council. On March 14th, he announced that he won’t seek reelection when his fourth two-year term expires at the end of the year, saying he wanted to spend more time with his family. Simonelli spoke with WAMC about his time in office, and what priorities remain as he finishes his term.
