Vermont Independent Senator Bernie Sanders called the president’s move “reckless.” “If we are genuinely concerned with Iran’s behavior in the region, as I am, this is the worst possible course of action. Unfortunately I heard no strategy from President Trump, just the usual bluster.”
Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy had joined a coalition of ranking Senate members calling on the president not to abandon the nuclear agreement.
