Now wrapping up its 85th season, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival in Becket, Massachusetts had a banner year.
Jacob’s Pillow drew a record 111,000 visitors. The dance center hosted 10 international companies, five world premieres, 11 female-led companies, and other events, talks and classes.
Jacbo’s Pillow says it has seen a significant increase in the amount of ticket buyers under the age of 35. This is Pamela Tatge’s first season as executive director.
“We will continue to strengthen to our flagship programs, which are our festival, our school and our archives,” Tatge says.
In July, Jacob’s Pillow announced a new strategic plan in a bid to become a year-round center.
