Massachusetts State Representative Paul Mark is attending The Council of State Governments’ Henry Toll Fellowship gathering in Kentucky.

Mark, a Peru Democrat, is among the 48 leaders selected from 32 states and territories to be part of the national leadership development program.

Mark says it’s a six-day intellectual boot camp – this year held in Lexington, Kentucky.

“It’s a big secret,” Mark says. “They send you the agenda, they emailed me the agenda and the agenda literally says ‘8:30 a.m. breakfast, dinnertime 6,’ and then they told us to bring formal wear, to bring casual wear, and to bring hiking boots and to be prepared to get wet.”

Other past Western Massachusetts fellows include Senate President Stan Rosenberg, former State Senator Benjamin Downing, former State Representative Dan Bosley and former Governor Jane Swift.
