Massachusetts U.S. Senator Ed Markey is holding a town hall in Springfield Monday.

Markey’s event, during which the Democrat plans to talk about issues including health care and immigration and take questions from the audience begins at 6:30 p.m. at Forest Park Middle School.

In February, Markey held what he billed as an “emergency” town hall in Northampton where he vowed to fight the Trump administration.

" And if he is going to try to assault Massachusetts laws he should expect to be in for a big fight," declared the state's junior Senator.

Markey also advocated for universal broadband access and more attention to the opioid crisis.
