One of the most notorious figures in the Boston Archdiocese clergy sex abuse scandal has been released from prison and plans to live eventually in western Massachusetts.
Paul Shanley, the defrocked Roman Catholic Priest, was released from state prison after serving 12 years for child rape.
According to the state’s Sex Offender Registry Board he plans to live at 31 Pulaski Street in the eastern Hampshire County town of Ware.
Shanley, 86, has been classified as a level-3 sex offender, meaning he is considered most likely to re-offend.
Rodney Ford, whose son was allegedly molested by Shanley, believes he is still a threat.
"Paul Shanley is evil," Ford said at a news conference with other alleged victims of the pedophile priest.
Although his prison sentence has ended, Shanley is on probation for 10 years.
