Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum has received three grants totaling roughly $200,000 from Lenox, Massachusetts and the state.

The Lenox Community Preservation Act Fund has awarded a matching $30,000 grant to continue restorations to the mansion exterior.

The Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund has also awarded Ventfort Hall a $125,000 grant, which will be used to upgrade the mansion’s elevator.

The state also provided a $40,000 emergency grant from the Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund for roof repairs.

Ventfort Hall Association is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The 19th century mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was the site of filming for The Cider House Rules.
