The Berkshire Veterans’ Coalition and the City of Pittsfield gathered Thursday to plan the Memorial Day flag placement at Pittsfield cemeteries.
It’s Massachusetts law that every veteran’s grave gets a flag in all municipal cemeteries on Memorial Day.
The Veterans’ Coalition prepared more than 8,000 flags and markers in tribute to their brothers and sisters in arms.
Flag placement begins on Monday at 8 a.m.
