Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts hosted the Berkshire County Education Task Force.

The Berkshire County Education Task Force recently heard community concerns during a meeting at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.

The Berkshire County Education Task Force wants to improve access and diversity in educational programs to help prepare children for college and careers.

The Task Force says it’s concerned about the county’s declining population. It says creating financial savings programs and regional agreements between municipalities and schools will encourage skilled young people to stay in the Berkshires.

The group meets once a month to recommend ways to ensure that every child in Berkshire County has a high-quality education.
