The move to all-electronic open road toll collection in Massachusetts begins Friday.
Motorists will no longer pay cash at toll plazas along the Turnpike. Tolls will be collected electronically through a system of sensors and cameras installed on gantries over the highway.

WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill spoke with MassDOT Highway Administrator Thomas Tinlin.
