The Pittsfield Fire Department is warning area residents of a possible scam in which the caller states they are raising funds for the department because they are underfunded and need help from the community. The Fire Department and its affiliation with the International Association of Fire Firefighters Local 2647 are not seeking any donations at this time, according to a department release Wednesday. The Department says the calls appear to come from the same telephone number; 857-305-6580.
