Vermont Bucks Looking For New League After AIF Dissolution

Less than two weeks after the Vermont Bucks were announced as a new expansion team for the American Indoor Football league, the franchise is looking for a new home.
AIF commissioner and owner John Morris released a statement Monday that said the league will "cease operations effective immediately."

The Burlington Free Press reports Bucks owner Tim Viens says he knew a big announcement was coming three days ago, but he didn't think that the league folding would be the outcome.

Viens says the Bucks still intend to begin play in March 2017 and the team is searching for a new league.

The future home for the franchise would likely be in the Arena Development League or the Supreme Indoor Football League — both of which are new this year.
