The Massachusetts Health Policy Commission recently completed a report outlining the challenges community hospitals face and what can be done to improve their sustainability.The year-long study was spurred by the sudden closure of North Adams Regional Hospital about two years ago and the 2014 shuttering of Quincy Medical Center. HPC Executive Director David Seltz spoke with WAMC’s Berkshire Bureau Chief Jim Levulis about the report’s findings.
