Peter Taylor will start as president of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation in January.

The Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation has selected its first new president in 17 years. Peter Taylor is currently vice president of programs for the Maine Community Foundation. In January he will step into the role held by Jennifer Dowley who is retiring at the end of the year. The Sheffield-based charitable organization donates more than $8 million via grants and scholarships in the arts, education, health and human services and environmental protection throughout the WAMC listening area each year. Taylor spoke with WAMC’s Berkshire Bureau Chief Jim Levulis about his new role.

Jim was WAMC’s Assistant News Director and hosted WAMC's flagship news programs: Midday Magazine, Northeast Report and Northeast Report Late Edition.
