The interim general manager of the Burlington Electric Department has been nominated to serve in the position permanently.
The Burlington City Council is being asked to confirm the appointment of Neale Lunderville at its meeting next week.
Lunderville has served as interim general manager since last summer's retirement of Barbara Grimes.
In a statement, Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger says he expects Lunderville to continue to ensure that Burlington Electric provides affordable power, while also being a national leader in the sourcing and generation of clean energy and energy conservation.
