Funeral Arrangements Announced For Bishop Maguire

Funeral arrangements have been finalized for Springfield Bishop Emeritus Joseph Maguire, who died Sunday at the age of 95.  A public prayer service at Saint Michael’s Cathedral in Springfield will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, November 30.  The funeral at the cathedral will take place at 11 a.m. Monday December 1st.    Maguire was the bishop of the Springfield Diocese from 1977 to 1992.  WAMC’s Pioneer Valley Bureau Chief Paul Tuthill spoke with current Bishop Mitchell Rozanski.
