The former veterans’ agent for the city of Pittsfield, Mass. has filed a discrimination complaint against the city and it’s mayor.Al Cimini, the attorney for Rosanne Frieri, who was fired as Pittsfield’s veterans’ agent last month, says he filed the complaint with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination Tuesday. Cimini says it alleges wrongful termination based on retaliation, a hostile work environment and discrimination based on age, sex and disability.

Reached Thursday morning, Pittsfield's Dir. of Administrative Services Julia Sabourin says the mayor's office has not received a complaint.

Bianchi fired Frieri August 25th for refusing to meet with the mayor and other work-related issues. Frieri has said she wouldn’t meet with Bianchi because he badgered her at an earlier meeting, which Bianchi has denied.

Anybody that knows me, and I’ve got five decades of history, knows that I’m not a bully,” Bianchi said when asked about the claim in August.

Frieri is also the veterans’ agent for six other area towns.
