Burlington’s mayor will host a community forum with a United Nations official this weekend.
U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power will be at the ECHO Aquarium and Science Center on the Burlington waterfront for a Community Conversation hosted by Mayor Miro Weinberger.
Power, a member of President Obama’s cabinet, is responsible for advancing U.S. interests and addressing global challenges at the United Nations.
The program in Burlington will feature the Burlington High School Model UN, the Partnership for Change, and the Vermont Council on World Affairs.
The program is free and begins at noon on Sunday.
