Martin Luther King Day observances Monday will coincide with the second inauguration of President Barack Obama.
People from diverse backgrounds will gather in Springfield Massachusetts Monday for an annual celebration of the life and legacy of the civil rights leader. Ronn Johnson, interium president of Martin Luther King Family Services says they will pause the program at noon to witness the swearing in of President Obama for his second term.
The Martin Luther King day observance in Springfield is being held at the Community Music School starting at 11AM and is open to the public.
