China – The longest and possibly most viewed eclipse of the century occurred over India and China Wednesday morning, clocking in at 5 minutes and 36 seconds. The event was studied by teams of scientists from around the world, including Williams College's professor of astronomy, Doctor Jay Pasachoff (pass-uh-koff). Pasachoff, who is also known as Mr. Eclipse, observed the blackout from an observatory in Hangzou (hang-zoo), China. He spoke with Berkshire Bureau Chief Charlie Deitz from his hotel in China about the event
