In New York, the Rockland County executive is recuperating after shoulder surgery.

Republican Rockland County Executive Ed Day has successfully undergone surgery on his right shoulder at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern. The procedure repaired damage to two tendons and a muscle. His shoulder had been operated on twice before, first in 1995 after an on-the-job injury with the NYPD and second in 2003 after a fall. Day should be able to throw out the first pitch for the New York Boulders in 2021. He wants to continue his unbroken streak of throwing strikes from the mound on opening day.
