A New York state assemblymember has released a booklet celebrating Hudson Valley women.
Democratic Assemblymember Didi Barrett has released the sixth volume of “Women’s History in the Hudson Valley: Ten Stories from Columbia and Dutchess Counties.” It’s in celebration of Women’s History Month. The booklet shares stories of regional women from the past three centuries and their contributions. The booklets are distributed in collaboration with the Mid-Hudson Library System and can be picked up in local libraries. The 2019 booklet features scientists, educators and others who broke down barriers, and includes environmental activist Toshi Seeger.
