Rep. Maloney Honors Fallen USCG Officer

U.S. Coast Guard

Democratic New York Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney honored a fallen Coast Guard officer during a speech on the House floor earlier this week.

Congressman Maloney of the 18th District honored Coast Guard Chief Warrant Officer Michael Kozloski, originally of Mahopac, in Putnam County.

“Michael died as a result of injuries sustained during a crane accident while serving in Alaska. Mike leaves behind his wife of 15 years, Brie, and four young children,” said Maloney. “He dedicated his entire adult life, 17 years, to protecting our country as a member of the Coast Guard.”

Kozloski was 35 years old.

“I ask all of us to join in prayer for Michael and his family,” Maloney said. “We’ll be closely monitoring the ongoing investigation in this incident and offering our assistance as needed.”
