Hudson Valley state Senator James Skoufis, who will chair the Investigations and Government Operations Committee, has announced a few details about staff appointments.
Democratic Senator James Skoufis says he plans to put more emphasis on the Investigations portion as committee chair. To this end, he’s dedicating some of his own staff.
“I’m making an announcement that on my own staff, not even central staff but, on my own staff will be a number of people dedicated to full-time investigative roles,” Skoufis says. “That, to my knowledge, has not happened in a very long time, if ever.”
Skoufis says Orange County resident and former Brooklyn assistant district attorney Michael Mazzariello will be his chief of investigations.
