Joining some half-a-dozen others, a Kingston native has launched a campaign to challenge freshman Republican John Faso in New York’s 19th Congressional District.
Democrat Pat Ryan, a Kingston native, Army veteran and technology entrepreneur, announced Wednesday his campaign to restore a sense of service in Washington and spur economic development. The West Point graduate says he is frustrated with politicians who are more concerned with their political futures than with the future of local families. Ryan joins a field of at least six other Democrats who have announced or are considering runs in the 19th Congressional District, a swing district that spans 11 counties.
