Former Poughkeepsie Property Manager Is Sentenced

The former property manager of a Poughkeepsie housing project has been sentenced for stealing federal housing funds.

U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara says Carl Immich was sentenced to 18 months in prison. Immich, the former property manager of Harriet Tubman Terrace Apartments pleaded guilty to stealing federal Housing and Urban Development funds. Bharara says Immich, who was accused of stealing some $150,000, used the public money intended for subsidized housing for eating out, house renovations, playing golf and travel. Immich also was sentenced to three years of supervised release and ordered to pay $150,001 in restitution.
