As work continues on the replacement Tappan Zee Bridge, the super crane is being readied for its first operation this year.

Tappan Zee Constructors is preparing the project’s largest crane, dubbed I Lift NY, for its first operation of 2017. The crane will install sections of structural steel in the coming weeks that will connect the westbound Westchester and Rockland approaches to the cable-stayed main span on the New New York Bridge. The nearly $4 billion bridge is on schedule to open next year. The current Tappan Zee Bridge will be dismantled.
