NY's 18th Has A Republican Primary

In New York, one of the congressional Republican primaries is for a seat in the Hudson Valley.

Republicans Phil Oliva and Kenneth Del Vechhio are vying for the chance to unseat Democratic Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney in November in New York’s 18th district in the Hudson Valley. Oliva serves as advisor to Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino. He also is president of communications and consulting firm Gipper Communications. Del Vecchio is a filmmaker and chairman of the Hoboken International Film Festival who touts himself as being the first congressional candidate to endorse Donald Trump for president. Maloney is seeking re-election to a third term. The 18th District includes Orange and Putnam Counties and parts of Dutchess and Westchester.
