A group of New York students calling for a tuition freeze at state schools begins a three-day march Sunday.

New York Students Rising has organized a march to Albany that will culminate in a rally and the delivery of a cap and gown covered with student debt checks to Governor Andrew Cuomo on behalf of indebted students. The no-tuition hike to the Capitol is to protest annual tuition increases and state cuts to the State University and City University of New York systems. The hike begins March 20 in front of the SUNY New Paltz student union building, travels along 9W, and ends with a 1 p.m. rally March 22 at the Capitol.
